When Jan's employer, (Prolin, a Dutch company) was bought by HP, we went to Holland to attend a gala in Amsterdam.

This tiny building was constructed in the 1600s - it now houses a silversmith who sells his goods to tourists. . . Jan's friend and colleague, Valentin Marino, is about to enter.
Everything in Holland seems to be old . . . look at the date here.
A typical view from the hotel window - the 'Coffee Shop and Juice Bar' on the right also sells marijuana and hashish.
Interesting rooftops seen from the hotel.
A good way to see some of the city - - take a cruise on the canals.  Valentin is ready to embark.
